In the spring, Pat Matsueda was asked to join the board of directors of a nonprofit organization based in Wahiawa, and she is now the secretary, taking minutes of board meetings and performing other duties as requested.
Using her writing and design skills, she has produced materials for the organization that help it educate its community about what it does and to raise funds. This is pro bono work, which she is happy to perform.
The 8.5” x 14” flyer (top) is based on an infographic template and the 8.5” x 11” brochure on a trifold brochure template at canva.com. (Canva is a web application with hundreds of templates, images, and elements like lines, geometric shapes, and so forth.) Added were the organization’s logo, images from its website, and text from its website and grant documents. The goal is to use these materials to raise funds to help the organization do more and gain greater self-sufficiency.
